The plate is made of Kupilka's own material Kareline® natural fiber composite, which consists of 50% wood-based cellulose fibers and 50% thermoplastic. The material ages beautifully, provides a harder and more stable feel than just plastic, and doesn't attract odors and stains like products made from just wood can.
